2015 Comrades Marathon

The Comrades Marathon is an Ultra-marathon of approximately 89 km which is run annually in the KwaZulu-Natal Province of South Africa between the cities of Durban and Pietermaritzburg. It is the world's largest and oldest Ultra-marathon race.

In this year’s event, one of our own star athletes and also an employee of Phola Coaches, Happy Hlongwane, participated in the 2015 Comrades Marathon, and finished with a time of 9 hours and 30 minutes. This was his fourth consecutive Comrades Marathon since 2012, in which he ran his best time of 7 hours and 39 minutes, earning him a silver medal in that year.
