With 500 full time employees and an established management team, Phola Coaches offer clients extensive experience in the provision of bus transport and charter services. The success of Phola Coaches is not only due to the expertise and experience of our shareholders but also to the competent and loyal management team that has been built-up within the business over the years.
Training and development of staff is a top priority at Phola Coaches and we have committed substantial investment to this. We have fully fledged training and risk departments adding value through the ongoing enhancements and developments of safety standards, policies and legislation. Our training department places a special focus on skills development providing driver training to unemployed job seekers thereby empowering the youth to enhance their job prospects.
As it is our philosophy to employ a corrective rather than a punitive approach to discipline, remedial training plays an important role in the development of our drivers.
Equality is about treating people fairly, impartially and without bias and creating conditions in the workplace and wider society that encourage and value diversity and promote dignity and inclusion. At Phola Coaches, we are committed to the advancement of equality by ensuring that policies, strategies and processes that promote equality are in place. We are also committed to removing barriers to redressing imbalances.
Our recruitment and selection and a number of other processes and decisions are designed to help ensure there is no unjustified discrimination on the grounds of age, disability or HIV/AIDS status, gender, marital status, political opinion, race/ethnicity, religion and belief, sexual orientation, or on any other irrelevant grounds.
We are committed to treating our clients, customers and suppliers fairly and with dignity and respect and to maintain high equality related standards for their benefit as part of earning their respect and confidence.
